All about Avenue Theaters

Richmond Ave.

When Sheba Kwan and I founded Avenue Theaters, we wanted to solve a challenge we had observed time and again in our work at Red Theory: creating stunning, functional home theaters at a more accessible price point. Red Theory has always been about bespoke, high-performance spaces tailored to each client, but we recognized that not every homeowner or project required the full custom treatment. Avenue Theaters was our way of offering a fixed price, budget-friendly alternative without compromising on quality or aesthetics.

Avenue Theaters began as an independent venture but is now seamlessly incorporated into the Red Theory Design brand, streamlining the process for homeowners, AV dealers, and our internal operations while maintaining the same commitment to quality and accessible home theater design.

The idea was simple: make great design accessible to more people while maintaining the high standards that have earned us recognition in the industry.

Our approach centers on curated design models, which serve as the foundation for your home theater project. These models are thoughtfully crafted to adapt to your room’s specific parameters while offering a seamless blend of style and function. Once you’ve selected a design, we provide a detailed drawing and specification package that equips your contractor or builder with everything they need to bring your vision to life.

Since the initial launch, we have found the most success working with AV Integrators on Avenue Projects. We can incorporate the desired equipment list of speakers, screen, projector and provide a complete set of construction documentation.

It’s a process that simplifies the complexities of home theater design while ensuring every detail is considered. With an Avenue project, you don’t have to sacrifice aesthetics or performance to stay within budget.

If you're interested in exploring what we offer, I encourage you to browse our design models. Each one can be customized with interior finish options, to fit your personal style or project needs. Whether you’re drawn to modern minimalism, classic luxury, or something in between, we have a design that’s right for you.
